Coaches undergo accreditation

TO PRODUCE WELL-TRAINED AND COMPETENT TRAINERS
and coaches and nurture the delegates on its initial bid in the
Regional Sports Competition, Cabuyao City Division conducted
a three-day live-in training on basic coaching and officiating
in Cabuyao Central School, January 19-21.
Esteemed resource speakers sharpened the coaches
and trainers of 16 sports events from all public and private
elementary and secondary schools in the division of Cabuyao.
“It adds up to our confidence as coaches to revisit rules,
regulations and terms in sports and other technicalities that
we ought to know well. Today, I feel a mile more prepared for
the competition,” said Jay Ar Fernandez, coach.
The trainers and coaches went through reassessment of the
sports events, training of the players and evaluation of their
performance in the sports they oversee.
“It’s humbling to see each of us working together for a
common goal. At the end of the training there is much to look
forward to improve and to change,” Fernandez added.***

Athletes up training dash

RIGID TRAININGS FACED the 276 Cabuyao City Regional Sports Competitions (RSC) players, January 9 to February 6, to master their skills from basic to winning techniques in preparation to the clash of Southern Tagalog athletes. Division Schools Sports Coordinators,Filomena Tecson (Elementary) and Angelina B. Delos Reyes ( Secondary) , master trainers and coaches monitored the 25- day training held at various venues in Cabuyao City. “We really wanted to make sure that all the players are honed in the respective sports they are in. We have given the best of our effort, time and resources in training them. We hope to see the fruit of all our labor,” said Joanna Marie Tanael, gymnastics
trainer. Each training event followed a training matrix and set in the
most feasible training venue which created an authentic sports competition experience to the athletes. The city Mayor, Atty. Rommel A. Gecolea, extended not only his moral support but also financial assistance for the trainings.
“We are grateful to Mayor Gecolea for giving us this kind of preparation. His support for all of us is felt every time we hit the training ground,” exclaimed Rick Carlo Murillo, football player.***
